This Privacy Policy explains how TheQuoteMatch ("TheQuoteMatch," "we," "us"), a brand operated by Dobak Holdings LLC, collects, uses and shares information when you visit auto.thequotematch.com or any other TheQuoteMatch website (the "Site") and when you request insurance quotes through it.
About our service
TheQuoteMatch is a free comparison and referral service. We are not an insurance company, agent or broker, and we do not sell insurance, provide quotes or make coverage decisions. When you submit a request, we share your information with insurance companies, agents, brokers and the companies that work with them (our "Matched Companies") so they can contact you about insurance.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, street address, city, state and ZIP code; date of birth, gender and marital status; vehicle year, make and model; number of vehicles; current insurance status, insurer and length of coverage; homeownership status; and whether you have had accidents, tickets or claims.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL, advertising and campaign identifiers (such as UTM parameters and ad click IDs), and the date and time of your visit.
- Consent records: we use a third-party service (TrustedForm) to record your session on our form, including the consent language shown to you and your submission, so we can document that you agreed to be contacted.
Cookies, pixels and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies, including tools from Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Meta and Microsoft (Clarity), to operate the Site, understand how it is used, measure advertising and show you relevant ads. These tools may collect information about your activity on the Site and across other sites over time. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information as described in our California Privacy Notice.
How we use your information
- To match your request with Matched Companies and deliver your information to them so they can contact you with quotes and related offers;
- To contact you, including by phone, text message and email, as you have consented;
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site;
- To measure and improve our advertising;
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep records of your consent; and
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
How we share your information
- Matched Companies: insurance carriers, agents, brokers, and lead exchanges and marketplaces that deliver your request to them. Those companies use your information under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers that host the Site, store data, record consent, provide analytics and run advertising on our behalf.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, users or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Sharing your information with Matched Companies in exchange for compensation may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state laws. See our California Privacy Notice for your rights.
Calls, texts and your consent
If you submit a request and agree to the consent language on our form, TheQuoteMatch and Matched Companies may contact you at the number you provided, including by calls and texts that may use automated technology or prerecorded or artificial voices. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message, telling the caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or using our Unsubscribe page. Matched Companies that have already received your information may need to be contacted directly to stop their communications.
Your choices
- Marketing: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, reply STOP to texts, or use our Unsubscribe page.
- Cookies and ads: adjust your browser settings, or visit optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To make a request, email privacy@thequotematch.com.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to document consent and meet legal obligations.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
